PLP's Spiral Vibration Damper reduces Aeolian Vibration (the high frequency, low amplitude vibration caused by horizontal wind passing across the line. It is designed to be used on OPGW and conductors with an outside diameter less than 0.75 in.

Explanatory Notes: (1) Up to three SVD's can be subset together in one location where the cable diameter is 0.461 in. and below. (2) On cables with diameters above 0.461 in., only two SVD's should be subset for optimal damping performance.
