- The Cobalt coupler has a patent pending tapered (fluted) design on both ends. There is no conduit that is perfectly round. With that being said, the tapered design will conform to any conduit and have a tight seal where nothing can get in or out. The tapered design on the Cobalt Coupler is designed to help couple out of round HDPE.
- The Cobalt coupler has stainless steel teeth on the inside oppose to the plastic teeth. Our coupler has been pull strength tested and far exceeded any of the competitor couplers because of this. Our Cobalt couplers pull apart strength is over 3,485+lbs. The competitors were nowhere near that.
- The cobalt coupler has been pressure tested to over 150PSI.
- It takes more money, time and man power when couplers fail. That is another reason that Cobalt Couplers stand out. There is very little to no failure rate with these. You have to go in and dig up a coupler when the seal does not properly work, then the end user has lost valuable dollars.
