Preformed Line Products Air Flow Spoiler for OPGW, Yellow - 14.50” (PLP 5058103) - The FIBERLIGN Air Flow Spoiler is designed to control motion by reducing galloping or dancing movements in OPGW spans. Galloping can quickly cause serious damage to cable systems. Proper use of the recommended quantity of Air Flow Spoilers helps prevent galloping and extends the lifespan of the cable.
Features:
- Central spoiling section suppresses galloping by providing a constantly changing aerodynamic profile
- Helical gripping sections on both ends hold the cable securely without excess clamping forces
- Number and placement of Air Flow Spoilers in each cable span is calculated using an internally-developed program based on ongoing field and laboratory research data.
