Product Description
Condux Jamb Skid Base, Extension Sections, & Locking Pins - The Condux Jamb Skid is a versatile and efficient support system designed to hold sheaves or quadrant blocks inside manholes for pulling cable into underground conduit. Its innovative design allows for faster, safer, and more flexible setup compared to traditional hanging sheave assemblies.
By bracing the top of the skid against the underside of the manhole opening and engaging the camlock foot pedal, setup is completed in just a fraction of the usual time. Pulling tension naturally increases the skid’s stability during operation, eliminating the dangers of chain or strap breakage. The Jamb Skid is ideal for use when pulling-in irons are unavailable or misaligned, as it can be positioned anywhere within a 360° radius inside the manhole.
Built from solid aluminum, the Jamb Skid combines exceptional strength with a lightweight, easy-to-handle design—allowing for one-person installation in most situations. The complete system is created by pairing the base with the appropriate extension sections, depending on the required height. Locking 1¼" (32 mm) pins make height adjustments quick and secure, while the adjustable width—from 7" (178 mm) to 11" (279 mm)—ensures compatibility with all Condux sheave assemblies up to 8" (203 mm).
Features:
- Quick Setup: Secure the skid with the camlock foot pedal for rapid installation—much faster than hanging sheaves.
- Superior Stability: Pulling tension enhances steadiness during operation, with no risk of chain or strap failure.
- Full 360° Positioning: Can be placed anywhere within the manhole for maximum flexibility.
- Adjustable Height & Width: Simple adjustments with locking pins and variable width to fit multiple sheave sizes.
- Strong Yet Lightweight: Solid aluminum construction ensures durability while allowing easy one-person setup.
The Condux Jamb Skid delivers reliability, convenience, and performance for professional underground cable-pulling operations.
