Preformed Line Products FIBERLIGN Dielectric Support (FDS) for ADSS - .526” - .575” (PLP 44009823) - The FIBERLIGN Dielectric Support (FDS) is engineered to securely yet gently support ADSS (All-Dielectric Self-Supporting) cable. Ideal for tangent support applications, this system is best suited for utility lines with lower voltage levels, short spans, and light mechanical loads.
Each unit includes a full insert set (two halves) designed specifically for cables within the .526” to .575” diameter range.
Features:
- Mounts to pole with a 5/8" through bolt or a banding system with a mounting bracket
- Supports span lengths up to 600 ft (183 m) NESC Heavy for cables with diameters less than 1.0" and 300 ft (91 m) NESC Heavy for cables with diameters greater than 1.0"
- Supports line angles up to 20 degrees
- Housing is made from a high-strength dielectric urethane material
- Inserts are made from a soft, pliable dielectric material that gently grips and cushions the cable
- Highly abrasive-resistant surface of the housing allows it to be used as a stringing traveler at the structure
