Preformed Line Products 48” FIBERLIGN Dielectric Limited Tension Dead-End, Green - .452” - .481” (PLP 2872003) - The FIBERLIGN Dielectric Dead-End series is engineered to securely and gently terminate ADSS aerial fiber optic cables. This two-part design includes Structural Reinforcing Rods (SRR) of the correct size and length along with the dead-end component, which together transfer axial tensile forces and evenly distribute radial compressive loads through the cable’s plastic jacket onto the internal strength members—without causing damage to the jacket or optical fibers. To accommodate different cable system load demands, four variants of dual-layer FIBERLIGN Dielectric Dead-Ends are available: Limited, Medium, Semi-High, and High Tension.
Limited Tension Dead-End Features:
- Includes short structural reinforcing rods
- Used on most brands of ADSS cable that have low strengths and "standard" jackets
