Preformed Line Products Yellow BIRD-FLIGHT Diverter - .350” - .449" (PLP BFDMS3164) - The Yellow BIRD-FLIGHT Diverter is designed to improve the visibility of overhead lines and guyed structures for birds, helping reduce the risk of collisions and ensuring safety for both wildlife and infrastructure. Ideal for low- and medium-voltage construction, the diverter attaches directly to phase conductors (bare or jacketed). In high-voltage applications, it is typically installed on shield wires or OPGW cables for effective bird protection.

Features:

• Lightweight, economical, and easily applied by hand or hot stick
• Positive grip prevents product from moving along the span
• Long service life without deterioration of material properties
• Minimal wind resistance
• Manufactured from gray or yellow high-impact PVC with UV protection or aluminum alloy for high-temperature requirements (contact PLP for other color/voltage options)
• For voltages up to 230 kV. Contact PLP for 345 kV applications.
• Meets UL 94 V-0 flammability requirements
