Expanding Rock Anchor - ¾” x 15” (ALLIED 55500) - These rock anchors are installed into core-drilled holes in solid, unweathered rock. Tightening the anchor shaft expands the resistance wedges, securing the anchor firmly in place. Each anchor includes a triple eye, allowing up to three guy wire connections. The hole, as specified below, is drilled at least 12” deep aligned with the guy wire angle. After placing the anchor into the hole, a bar is inserted through the eye to turn the rod and expand the wedges into the rock. The rod is galvanized to ASTM A123 standards, and the wedges are treated with a rust-inhibiting coating for durability.
