Jonard Mid Span Slit & Ring Tool (9.8 mm-18.2 mm) (JN MS-526)

The award-winning and patented MS-526 Mid Span Slit and Ring Tool is designed for easy access to optical fibers in Corning Altos loose tube cables with binderless FastAcess technology, as well as other similar thin-walled jackets (9.8 to 18.2 mm diameter). One side of the tool slits fiber jackets and loose buffer tubes, while the opposite side rings them, all without damaging the fiber. Replaceable blades ensure long-lasting use.

• Equipped with 4 precision slitting and 4 precision ring grooves, ranging from 9.8 mm to 18.2 mm in size
• One side slits the cable longitudinally, while the other side rings the fiber jackets and buffer tubes radially
• Compact, lightweight design (weighs less than 0.61 lb or 277 g) and includes a tethering hole for easy portability in tight spaces
• Indicator line on top for precise blade positioning during slitting and ringing

How to Use:

1. Select the appropriate groove size (grooves are marked with the recommended cable size)
2. Place the cable in the selected groove, aligning with the arrow for pulling direction and the line for blade positioning
3. Engage the lock, close the tool, and pull to slit the cable.
