MS Plug Fast-Setting Hydraulic Cement – 50 lb. Pail - MS-Plug is a cement-based, fast-setting hydraulic cement designed to instantly stop active water leaks or seepage in concrete or masonry structures. When mixed with clean, potable water, it provides rapid setting times based on mix type:
STANDARD MIX (blue lid): Sets in 3–5 minutes
HOT MIX (red lid): Sets in 45–90 seconds
20 MINUTE MIX (green lid): Sets in approximately 20 minutes
Setting time varies with the temperature of the dry powder, mixing water, and substrate. Cooler conditions will slow down the set, while warmer conditions will accelerate it.
Applications
MS-Plug can be used both above and below grade, indoors or outdoors, to stop water flow and seepage through concrete and masonry surfaces. It is ideal for patching and repair in:
- Manholes

Composition / Materials
MS-Plug is formulated from Portland cement, fine aggregates, and other proprietary additives designed to control both initial and final setting times.
Surface Preparation
Ensure all surfaces are clean and free of dirt, dust, paint, or sealers that could prevent proper bonding. Dampen the area before applying MS-Plug. Do not retemper. For best results, apply when the temperature is 40°F and falling.
