DCD Design 3 ¾” Heavy Duty Breakaway Connector Swivel - 3,000 - 45,000 lbs. (CZ 00560-020)
The DCD Design Heavy Duty Breakaway Connector Swivel is designed to protect polyethylene ducting from overload during directional drilling operations. Positioned between the pullback swivel and the duct puller, these connectors consist of three parts held together by breakaway pins. The pins are engineered to break under tension at a predetermined load.
The connector assembly is completed using one or more breakaway pins, with the total weight capacity determined by the combined values of the pins. For example, a single 1,000 lb. pin will cause the connector to break at 1,000 lbs., while three 1,000 lb. pins would cause it to break at 3,000 lbs. Different pin values can be combined to achieve a variety of breakaway capacities within the same connector.
